Welcome to The National Conversation on Aging and Care, presented by APlan2Age.

My name is Richard Wexler, the Co-Founder and CEO of our Non-Profit–APlan2Age, and with me is Steph Baierl, the CIO of APlan2Age. We are your Tour Guides on this Aging Journey.

So, where are we on July 29th 2025?

Well, the Future of Aging is Now!

We have the oldest Baby Boomers turning 80 and over 100 Million people 50 and older and according, to the new joint report by AARP and the National Alliance for Caregiving, the caregiving numbers are staggering!

In the last 10 years, we’ve seen a 45% increase in the number of caregivers—we now have 63 million American are Caregivers.

That is about 25% of our population –are caregivers. Forty percent of caregivers live with their care recipient and nearly 30 percent of caregivers have provided care for 5 years or more, on average, spending 27 hours per week providing care. 24% provide 40 or more hours per week, but guess what? We still have to work.
Caregivers are increasingly juggling responsibilities of home, caregiving and work, with 70 percent of caregivers in the workforce. This is new and getting worse! Many caregivers are handling medical or nursing tasks such as managing catheters, performing injections, or monitoring vital signs

Aging—
A journey that hopefully all of us will take
A journey with thought, planning and through conversations, can be peaceful and enjoyable.

The question I keep asking: “How are we going to House and Care for over 100 Million People?”

We can do what were doing—and we will fail!

Creating APlan2Age Aging Coach—We are trying to get BIG WORD—Everyone!!—Millions of people, an Army of Aging Coaches—to have Conversational knowledge—gained from through personal experience and attending our Conversations on Aging and Care

And Impart that knowledge to family, a friend, a neighbor—a co-worker like Bob did, if their open to that knowledge!

Please Remember our site is here to help. We have information on “The Family Conversation”– what is it is—how to start it, as well as a downloadable/printable template for a “Care Plan”.
